My name is Jürgen Waibel. Born in 1945 I am now a retired school teacher of music and foreign languages.

All my life I have been interested in business and now enjoy this opportunity of a new venture that is particularly suited to my age group: mental activity with the benefit of additional retirement income which means to enjoy what I am doing and make some money as well – that’s it, in a nutshell.

Besides teaching, my background also includes investing in real estate in New Zealand, managing a hospitality complex, investing and trading Australian equities and over the last 6 years concentrating on Foreign Exchange (fx) day trading. I find the forex most enjoyable for its instant gratification and continued certainty of events: there always will be an opportunity the next day and thus it provides an ideal daily activity allowing you freedom to chose your hours and how you work.

While being tied to the pc I found the perfect second activity and diversification: it gives me the opportunity to develop a more long-term investment in the future by building an ongoing income base without having to place a lot of investment capital and yet making it possible to grow into a substantial business, depending on my dedicated time and effort. There is no force. It is entirely up to me, my wishes and ambitions. Best of all: I am not risking the fruits of my past labour!

I see those two activities compliment each-other: fx = instant cash with very low investment capital required and being able to manipulate my own risk tolerance/aversion, and the IT business= building a system of long-term cash income as my superannuation, again, without having to risk what I’ve got. You could call this an ideal set-up!  And I can do it anywhere, any time, any place, as much or as little as I choose!

To sum up: self-funded retirement, without “busting your bubble”, and maintaining total control of your own assets at all times – this is what I like. ( Look at what happened to the many people at this current credit crunch !)
